1. Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany
German for “New Swanstone Castle”, this castle is a 19th-century palace on a rugged hill in Bavaria, Germany. The palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and was opened to the paying public immediately after his death in 1886. More than 1.3 million people visit the castle annually. This is indeed one of the most beautiful castles in the world!
2. Mont Saint Michel, France
A rocky tidal island in Normandy, located approximately 1 km off the coast. The island’s highest point is 92 meters (301 feet) above sea level. The population of this UNESCO World Heritage Site is only a few dozens, but visited by more than 3 million people each year. The strong tides in the area change quickly, and connect and disconnects the island from the mainland on a daily basis :)
3. Egeskov Castle - Funen, Denmark

This Neo-Renaissance castle is located in the Carpathian Mountains, built between 1873 and 1914. Its unique style and architecture plus its idyllic mountain setting has earned it a spot on the most beautiful castles list!

One of Japan’s most famous castles, Osaka has a five-story exterior and an eight-story interior. It was built atop a tall stone foundation to protect its occupants from attackers during the 16th century.

Kylemore was built as a private residence for wealthy London doctor, Mitchell Henry. The estate was sold to the Duke and Dutchess of Manchester in 1909, but they were forced to sell due to gambling debts.
